My journey in the kitchen originally started with baking. My dad is known for baking cookies and handed them out to family, friend, and neighbors on Sunday afternoons. I grew up watching him selflessly serve everyone around him and one way he showed his love was through baking cookies. Now each of us kids have taken that tradition to heart and know this recipe by heart.
In high school, I would have people ask me for this recipe and I was always hesitant to share it with anyone because I did not want them to take away my thing. I was the girl with the amazing cookies that I would bring to all my friends. However, I have come to realize that sharing recipes helps traditions continue and legacies expand.
