One of my husband’s favorite meals is lasagna. But let’s be honest, life is often way too busy for that process! So when the craving hits and I do not have the time or desire to make real lasagna, this recipe comes in handy. Unlike real lasagna, with this recipe there isn’t a set organization to the ingredients, you throw all of the ingredients into the pot and you get the same incredible taste.
For my in-laws, they are not the biggest fans of ricotta cheese and so we always use cottage cheese. It adds a level of dairy and creaminess but is a little more subtle in taste then ricotta cheese. With any of these recipes you find from The Recipe Legacy, you are more than welcome to tweak them to your family’s liking and desires. I personally like both ricotta cheese and cottage cheese, and so I would suggest trying it both ways and see what you like best!
