When I worked as a nanny to four cute little kiddos and they love love loved Rice Krispie treats. They would often have the prepacked rice krispie bars and would get so sad when they ran out. One day I realized we had all the ingredients so we decided to make them together. It got a little messy but it was a memory that will stay close to my heart. It’s safe to say that these were regularly made after that. I think kids love Rice Krispie treats so much because what kid doesn’t love marshmallows? They love the gooey texture and the crunch from the cereal.
Even as an adult I have discovered a love for these Rice Krispie treats. There are times when I want something yummy but don’t want anything too rich or sugary.
